I’ve been enjoying learning about the legal brothel system in Nevada, the only place in the USA where Sex work is legalized. Having interviewed legal courtesans in the past, I thought I’d switch gears on this week’s episode and interview a brothel owner instead. What are the hoops that is involved in ownership? How do you get a coveted license? I had the pleasure of interviewing Madam Bella Cummins of Bella’s Hacienda Ranch in Wells, NV. Bella is the owner of one of the longest-running brothels in the state of NV. Bella’s Hacienda Ranch is also the only sex worker-operated brothel in the state. After discussing her origins in how she landed her hands on the ranch, we also go through Bella’s hiring process, how to ensure she hires and maintains the best people at her ranch, and how her ranch might differ from the many that lie in the state of NV. Bella and I also discuss her charity, the Onesta Foundation, in how it is dedicated to spreading awareness about legal brothels in NV.
