Ahhhhh, this is a highly anticipated episode! I am very excited to bring on friend and fellow workaholic, MelRose Michaels of SWCEO onto the show this week to speak about emerging technologies surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). Why might this be a topic of interest, you ask? With so much attention diverting to AI-run software, platforms, and simulations, there was a lot of chatter going on in various communities I am part of to speak about how AI might affect SWers. We address topics like if our work is threatened, various marketing techniques that we, as creators, can use to our advantage, and even some ongoing research on how they are using AI to track down “victims” of human trafficking amongst escort ads. It’s a lot to take in but MelRose, who is an avid content creator and SWer herself, regularly keeps up with new additions in tech in general and in the sex tech space. It’s a great conversation to listen to to perhaps shift negative perceptions about technology and really hone in on the opportunities that it is creating for us.
