We all dream about decriminalization (at least here in North America and in other parts of the world)! It seems like a dream for many countries as sex workers are a widely marginalized and unprotected group by most governments. There is only one country in the world where sex work is decriminalized and that is New Zealand. I invite the ever-so-knowedgeable, Vixen Temple, a sex worker based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, onto the podcast this week to speak about the decriminalization of sex work in her country, sometimes known as the New Zealand model.

We speak about how this decision came to be, the history behind it, who is affected and who the law covers and protects, mandatory condom use, if charges can be laid and be upheld and to whom and how this model could be applied in other countries. Vixen is an exceptionally-talented human being, activist, performance artist and of course, sex worker, and shares so much of her knowledge and expertise on this week’s episode.
